The Hackathon for Good community is growing and so do the opportunities it opens up for participants. The 4th edition in The Hague will have an exclusive Bonus prize provided by our partner ESRI.

Who is ESRI?

Esri is the global Market leader in geospatial technologies, founded in 1969  to help solve some of the world’s most difficult problems. We do so by supporting our users’ important work with a commitment to science, sustainability, community, education, research, and positive change.

The ESRI team has chosen to offer a bonus prize available to all challenges and teams at the Hackathon for Good 4 The Hague. They want to honour solutions that are using maps and geospatial analytics to solve and communicate the challenges.

Which challenges are eligible for the Mothership Missions bonus prize?

  • All challenges and teams are eligible for this bonus prize as long as they are making use of the ESRI platform and have indicated so in the pre-Pitch summary form.

What is the criteria to be applicable for the bonus prize?

Before the Pitch event on the 28th of November, there will be ajury member present from ESRI to evaluate all solution summaries and to determine which pitching sessions to attend.

The ESRI bonus prize of 300 euro will be awarded to the team with the best approach of utilizing ESRI tools to solve and/or communicate the challenge. 

The main criteria to be applicable as a team are:

  1. Indicate how your solution is applying ESRI tools, services, analytics, apps, presentation means
  2. Communicate through maps
  3. Outline how geospatial technology could improve the solution

To take a chance on winning this bonus prize, make sure you and your team explore and make use of the ESRI tools.

How to get started?

During the Hackathons “hot phase” - you can ask for an additional 100$ worth of Online credits to use for advanced capabilities (like querying demographic data, storing routes/multi-stop routes and more) - apply with Milena for a voucher code and usage instructions. The offer is limited to 20 entries on a first-come-first-serve basis.
